They sell new overstock 2-3 year old helmets, which makes them surprisingly cheap.

Keep in mind a helmet only lasts 5 years or so due to breakdown of the Styrofoam.

Save up the money and buy a good helmet. It's protecting your melon.

Always buy new, never buy used (previously worn). It can be a few years old, just never been worn, and will still be okay.

eBay has some 'cheap' ones as well.

What size hat do you wear?

I've got this one:

It was too small for me. If you want it, $150 TYD, it's new in box with helmet bag.

**EDIT**
It's a KBC VR-2 Gunslinger size Medium (I think it's the 2005, maybe 2006 model, but not the current model).

Sounds like you've already tried some on which is good. I would continue with that, everyones head is slightly different and you'll find that some brands will fit you better then others. If you have a Cycle Gear near you it's a great place to try on various helmets as they usually keep a wide selection. Once you've found a brand that fits you well then go online and buy it because better deals can be found.

I myself wear a shoei x11. Wind noise isn't all to bad even with all the vents it has.

Scorpion helmets are your best bet. They're just like Shoei, but a whole lot cheaper. BMW shops stock them all the time.
