There were a few posts in the pits about it last year, but the overall story was never really covered here (searched for key words in the pits and didn't find anything that mentioned what the heck was really going on.) The article below is from late last year so I'm sure some of you know all about it, but for the slow ones like me, you gotta check this out. The piece was written really well - sounds like a movie - international intrigue, the mafia, ubiquitous corporate corruption, and the crash of a $1.2 million exotic that started the investigation. The police revised their estimate of the Enzo's speed when it hit the pole to just short of 200mph. (ya' think? the engine was found 1/4 mile down the road from the passenger compartment) Luckily noone was killed. It reminds me of what you see on PCH all the time though - I've been cutoff twice by speeding ferraris on PCH in Santa Monica - I swear those with money can't drive and/or are intoxicated.

I also found it interesting how people utilize loopholes in our government to follow through on their "nefarious endeavors." Like how you can start your own police department if you own a bus company. WTF

I liked the part how the dickhead's wife got pulled over in Beverly Hills in her McLaren SLR for having no plates, no license, and got to walk home after the cops realized it was the missing stolen one.

Personally, I wish the guy had gotten scattered over 1/4 mile of PCH instead of the car, but oh well. Hopefully he enjoys his time in jail and then gets the fuck out of our country.

- Car thief
- Cocaine dealer
- Weapons dealer
- Wrecked a borrowed Saab turbo
- Killed a young girl in the wreck
- Broke the spine of a passenger in the wreck
- Attempted to defraud Swedish bank by counterfeiting
- Bombed witnesses
- Illegal immigrant to California
- Destroyed a .com and stole its assets
- Wrecked a stolen Enzo
- Impersonated a police officer
etc etc etc
