Can you afford to maintain a Porsche? Parts for DSM's you can almost trade for chicken feed.

Yeah, your DSM shares a lot of things with other cars so it's a lot easier to find parts. Porsche on the other hand, probably going to be more expensive and hard to find especially on something older like that. If it were me, I would keep the DSM. Slap a turbo on it if you want to go faster.

As long as it's shiny and has a porsche emblem, they won't know the difference....

DSM. Maybe if that was a 911 or 944, but I think those <90s Porsche's look like butt.

I personally want a 93 or so 911.

Enjoy fixing that porsche. Bad run of years. You can go buy one with low mileage for less than 10k. Ever wonder why?

If itys not your primary car then take the Porsche. Dsm's need to fixed weekly. Granted they are cheaper.

If you get a Porsche, get a 2nd car for your daily commute. I have some co-workers at work w/ Porsche's (924, 968, 560AWHP 911 TT) and they use them as weekend cars. Since you're getting it from your dad and you think it's in good shape w/ low miles, it seems pretty safe to me.
