Ok i have a one time chance to buy a buddys 96 2nd gen gst, but i cant decide wether to buy it or keep my car.

ok...here we go, the car is super super duper clean, grey leather, 85k ORIGINAL MILES he is the original owner has all records, the car is COMPLETLY UN-MOLESTED

every bit of the damn this is stock even the damn radio, the car is mint.

now my talon wich i allready have, 4k in toys is alot of toys i can buy for my car and it would absolutly spank the stock gst, my car doesnt need tags or inspection, my car was in an accident tho but 99% pf the stuff that was wrong with it is now fixed....so i cant decide so you guys give me a hand

I had a '90 gst and one of my friends had a '95 gs turbo. They are both good platforms, but if you are gonna invest in a FWD, I would probably just keep what I already got. I have a '99 GS OZ and just sold my '90 GST. The 4g63 is a great engine! Easy to make power, relatively strong from factory, and easy of finding parts, but in the end it is still FWD.

I guess what I am trying to say is, if you are gonna keep FWD, then either way you probably won't get traction. I didn't in my GST, and neither did my friend in his GS turbo. This is what I had done to mine:

Rebuilt engine
2g pistons
1g big rods
Removed balance shafts
2g o2 housing (ported)
Turbo XS manual boost controller
Straight exhaust dumped under the car (2.5 in)
10mm wires
Solid motor mounts
Custom uicp
Ported 1g throttle body

I had very little done, and on 15 psi it would spin all through 1st, 2nd, and sometimes in 3rd. It was terrible in the rain, and snow was outta the question.

I'm just trying to give you friendly advice. If you are gonna get another car, get AWD. Trust me, a lot of power if FWD is fun for a little while, but it does get old very quickly. If you don't want AWD, then do the 420a. 4g63's are a dime a dozen, but a nicely modded 420a is sweet. Besides I think that 420's sound wicked boosted if not better than the 4g63.

'95 Eclipse RS (sold)
'99 Eclipse GS OZ (sold)
'90 Eclipse GST (sold)
'90 Talon TSI AWD (sold)
'94 Plymouth Laser RS (sold)
'04 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8t (sold)
'08 Silverado LTZ (daily)

So it's buy another unmodified car and modify it (let's be honest) or keep your already modified car and put the money in that? Hmmm? Like previously stated, if you're going to stay FWD, why not just stick with the car you have, no one will no the difference on the outside, aside from the fact that the one you have now is faster. Sure you can pour money into the GST, but you know that if the wifey is going to make you get rid of one to have the other, then as soon as you try to put money into it she's going to say, "I already let you buy the thing, now you want to spend more money! You're never satisfied with anything are you?" and then she might say, "You never spend money on me, I guess I'm not even good enough for that. What are you gonna do, trade me in and buy another wife? Then get her a tit-job! Pig!" and at that point you're going to realize that getting the GST was a big mistake in the first place and even thinking about was stupid.

BTW, why would you want to trade in your wife, you are a pig.

good for you i think you will like it alot their are two types of people. People that like to build cars and people that like to have a built car.

Im the first one I get the most fun out of researching parts buying them and slaping them on thats why the rs is a great car they dont give you shit you gotta add it.

On the flip side I will never never get rid of my car. But when im done with it(building) Evo x time and the circle of life starts all over again. I am also lucky my girlfriend of 3+ years loves my car too and works on it with me. so when we get married she knows that cars will be our hobby.

We will build you bigger and stronger

Wake up and drive my ass... More like wake up and fix it.
