Who is this guy? 28 for 46 w/ seven 3's. I still think Lebron is better cause NO ONE is on the Lakers but he is still amazing. Anyone catch the game? I only saw it cause the home page on ESPN.com

Kobe is no more then a better Version of Allen Iverson at this point. His team is ranked #7 in the west and doesn't stand a chance to win anything this year. I still think Dwayne Wade would break him.

Are you drunk??? Dwayne Wade??? He was nothing before Shaq and will be nothing if and when Shaq leaves. Shaq makes players better just by being there. He draws double teams, is one hell of a passer, and helps clear the lane. Just look at his stats before and after Shaq got there.

Kobe has to be the main person of his team to do mostly everything, scoring being on the top of the list because he has nobody else. Same with AI. Nobody called Wilt a ball hog when he scored 100.

LMAO

Ok check the stats. You will find that dwayne wade was a rookie before shaq got there so you cant exactly go on that. Also SHaq has been hurt and has missed several games. Wade had to carry that team on his back infact he is doing it again . Shaq is statically having his worst season ever. How many buzzer beaters does Wade have in his 3 yrs career ? I know he has done it to my Knicks 2x already emoji Both games Shaq was not there.

Kobe is the best player in game period. Lebron is not there yet. Everyone though T-mac was .. nope. A.I is nice too but nope. Kobe is the air to Michael Jordan . I dont like him personally but you would be in Uter denial if you didnt think so. This year he has been playing out of his mind. Kinda like the year MJ averaged 37ppg for a whole season ( most of you are to young to remember that ) I have seen most of Kobe's games this season and i could tell you that he has no supporting cast. He doesnt have to shoot as much as he doesnt but with the team he has around him , I can see why he is a ball hog.

I am not saying Kobe isn't the best player...but his team sux. After Shaq left, I just knew Kobe was on his way to becoming the new Scotty Pippen...lol. Its definately a great accomplishment but it means nothing to me since the rest of his team sux. I mean when Jordan was banging out 40 point nights, his team was like the Detroit pistons are now....almost unbeatable.

It sucked that Shaq left. I wish they could have gotten along better and kept that dynasty alive. They knew what they had, they just both wanted to be the star. Shaq is the best center to ever play the game. Kobe is arguably top 5, with Jordan being #1 and Kobe right behind him. But no, I just saw the Dwayne Wade comment and was like, wtf?? he can't be serious. I'm a laker fan, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I caught the game. In fact, I was there! Still can't believe that the first time I ever see a live NBA game, a record like that is set.

Kobe is the best player in the game right now. Period. Last night didn't prove that, it only made his case stronger.

What record was set? Wilt holds the single game record fellah.

Kobe is not the best player in the game; far from it. There will NEVER be another Michael Jordan, the odds of another player coming along and having the impact he did on every aspect of the game is very unlikely. I think Lebron has more potential right now to be the greatest all around player since Jordan but other then just Lebron James there are tons of other players I think are more of a complete package then Kobe "buttrape" Bryant; Allen Iverson, Tracey McGrade, heck even Vince Carter and Steve Nash are better over all players.

Kobes main problem is he isnt a team player, he cant grasp the concept it takes 12 people working together to win, not one player by himself. All he has to do is look at the Spurs and or the Pistons, both of those squads are very cohesive teams.

And the one thing Kobe will NEVER realize is hockey is better then basketball.

Hey hey, you keep your figure skating, ice queens out of here.

You actually said there are better team players out there and listed AI as your first guy. That's funny. Kobe can play team ball. You can't put the whole Shaq vs. Kobe thing on Kobe's shoulders. It takes 2 to tango, and it was just as much Shaq's doing.

And people, Jordan is the best ever, don't get me wrong, but he didn't do it by himself. He had great role players with him and a great coach. Stick him in Kobe's shoes and he would do the same thing Kobe is doing right now. He wouldn't be any better off.

I listed AI as a better overall player (defense, 3s, assists, etc though Kobe did good from behind the arc last game) never said he was a better team player; the team players I listed are the entire rosters for the spurs and pistons.

I never once mentioned the Shaq thing either. I think Shaq is a terrible terible basketball player and an even worse actor/dresser/rapper. All they do is lob the ball into his hands, then he backs his fat, out of shape ass up 4 or 5 feet then he bounces the in the basket, what skill!
The man cant hit a FREE THROW to save his life.

Speaking of bacon, if Kobe didnt hit 18/20 from the FT line he would have only had 63 points.

Your arguements sucks malenko lol Kobe is the best player in the game period. He has no team to pass the ball to. He has to shoot 30 times just so his team can compete every night. Same shit Jordan had to do when he averaged 37ppg one year. Same thing he did until he got pippen on the team. With out Kobe. Shaq wins no rings in L.A. Have you seen any laker games this year ?

The players you named are all great but if you had some time I could break down each one of them and show you how Kobe out shines all of them. This dude has zero weaknesses.

I dont even like the dude but he will be mentioned in the same breath as MJ , Bird , and magic... true story.

Hahhaahha, so true.

Anyways, there are many reasons why Kobe is not the next MJ.

1. MJ is still alive.

2. Kobe is nowhere near as fast as MJ.

3. Kobe can't palm the ball.

4. Kobe loves Gnutella.

To add on why Kobe is NOT the next MJ.
- MJ averaged 35ppg w/ people like Scottie Pippen and other role players actually doing something. Odom needs to step it up.
- MJ shot like 55% in his career which is AMAZING for a guard.
- MJ also averaged more assists and rebounds

Kobe is a good player and he does have a great fade away jumper, like Jordan but he is no MJ, Bird, Magic, etc.

I personally like Lebron a lot better only cause he is a great rebounding guard and is more exciting to watch.

Jordan was the best, but like some others said he had an all-star team backing him up, which made his 30-40 ppg even more outrageous. Think about it, Tony Kukoc, Steve Kerr, Scottie Pippen, MJ, with Rodman to get the ball everytime the other team missed a shot. Luc Longley for the jump ball, hell it was just an amazing team with one hell of an amazing leader. No matter how good Kobe gets or anyone else, they'll never have the support to reach MJ's greatness.

LOL MJ never shot 55% in his entire life and he never averaged 35ppg with pippen anywhere near him. When Phil Jackson and Pippen got to Mike he still shot the ball 80 times a game. They called it more controlled because of the gay triangle offense but Mike still did what he wanted when he wanted.

Yall people better stop hating Kobe. Hell I cant stand him either but you gotta respect his game. 10 yrs from now when they are talking all time greats. Kobe's name will be mentioned with Bird , Magic and Jordan. The 3 of them are already admitting it now. Kobe is still only 27 yrs old lol.
