In theory it could work. Cooler Intake charge... ricer appearance... AND if you add 2 of those Tornado Intake thingys in the 90* bend to assist with extra tumbling effect of the air.

Ita not really the intercooler itself, its the length of pipes and couplings. But seeing as your taking ambient air and cooling it with the same air...where does the cooling come from?
