#11968, "Rip Fuel plus Creatine a good match?"

So I'm taking Creatine for a few weeks for this recent phase. I've been talking Creatine for about 2 years. I am starting Rip Fuel just to see so would it be okay to take both at the same time. My concern is that Rip lets you get cut, but Creatine retains water in your muscle. Thoughts?

It depends on what you want. Creatine will help you put on mass, but rip fuel will try to help you cut, mainly your water weight. If you are trying to get bigger, and be a little more cut, then yeah its a good idea. But if youre trying to get cut quick, cut out your creatine. If you plan on cutting, i would suggest just dieting, cardio, rip fuel, and lots of protein powder.

I agree, you will lose some lean muscle mass while your cutting but the tons of protein shakes will help preserve some. Always remember, creatine is compatible with anything. I would just suggest taking a macronized version. It disolves a lot faster and is easier to drink. Add it to a post workout shake.

I think you're wasting your money. Water retention isn't the best way to get the "swole up" look. I was never impressed with Creatine at all. A few of my friends liked Rip Fuel. They usually combined it with something like NO2.

Creatine did provide me with a slight increase in energy....or so I thought.

Save your cash and just workout.

Nitric acid or NO2... like NO-Xplode is proven to be nothing more than a scam. Save your money and don't waste your time with Nitrix or anything like that. There is a great thread on www.bodybuilding.com about it if you don't believe me.

Stick with a high protein diet. Look to use about 1 gram of protein per pound of weight. Split that up over a 6-8 dose cycle throughout the day. Your body can only obsorb about 40grams of protein per "dose". Drink plenty of water and do alot of cardio to keep burning the fat and carbs. Get something like Optimum 100% whey protein and keep a good workout regimin. If you want to use creatine.. i wouldn't use as much as they say to. It's good at giving you energy and the creatine your muscles need.. but everythings best in moderation. I work out for about an hour and a half 3-4 times a week. I also run 12-15 miles a week. I've really noticed a HUGE difference in the last few weeks. On bodybuilding.com they have alot of great info on "cutting" different areas of the body, I'd look into that alot. Let us know how the ripped fuel works.. I might try it out if you get some good reviews on it.

I'm still testing out the rip fuel. Right now, one tablet yesterday and today. I'll try one more tablet tomorrow, then starting Sunday, I'll go twice a day. Not great side effects that I heard of are happening to me right now. So I'll keep at it and see what the results if any are by three weeks from now. I think I'll stop creatine for now.

I've always heard it's good to use creatine in cycles anyway. Like 3-4 week cycles to build then use the off time to "cut" the muscle.

Its a good idea to cycle through different types of creatine, such as go on no-xplode for a few weeks, that use some xyience nox-cg3 or something close to that. Those products dont just contain creatine though, they also have your glutamine, and nitric oxide.

ya and Nitric oxide is a big fucking scam.. guess you missed that part on my post. That shit has been giving people Arginine poisining.. when your body can only handle about 3grams per day and that shit is loading you up to 9-12grams of arginine.. bad shit happens. That's why I didn't go the route of No-Xplode. I went with Pro-labs 100% Pure Creatine. It had alot of great reviews and highly recommended. I used a "nitric fuel" drink today.. it contained nitric oxide and arginine.. my pump was nothing special at all. In fact i've had better "pumps" without the shit. So far i really like the orange flavored "Ripped Fuel" by american bodybuilding or ABB while i'm working out. That shit make a big difference over just plan gatorade or powerade. I make sure to follow up my workout usually with a liter of water or so. Also down a 30-50gram protein shake right after and I've noticed some great gains so far. That's without creatine or the so called "recommended" 1gram per pound of protein guidline.

Does ripped fuel contain ephedra? Be careful what you take and how you workout. Post up the ingredients.

Whey protein is always a good call.

I think you'd be completely wasting your money...creatine holds in the water while rip fuel is pushing it all out - which would cause a stalemate, which would do nothing and you've just spent 50-60$ on just to confuse your body

i hate things like rip fuel...they're so bad for you its ridiculous. You NEED alot of water in your body, and its all getting taken out and you'll be dehydrated bad. IMO, just do more cardio or learn what foods to eat at what time to rev your metabolism up...do it the healthy way

edit - all you really need to do is barely drink any water - you'll get the exact same result lol..just don't have creatie in your system if your going to drain the water out of your body...thats like a double shot to your organs

If you want to slim down, and build muscle at the same time. I would suggest just eating lots of protien. Instead of going to get a burger for lunch, eat a can of tuna by itself, or grill up a non seasoned chicken breast. Its cheaper than buying supplement protien, and it taste a hell of a lot better.

As for slimming down, its mid summer right now. Go out, and buy a thermal suit, go to a local high school track, and do some sprints. The best way to cut quick, is to full sprint half of the track, brisk walk half, full spring, brisk walk. Do this for as long as your body can take it before a heat stroke lol. A buddy of mine recently won his first amatuer bodybuilding contest, and hes never taken a supplement, besides protien in his life:

I don't understand why people need to use "supplements" or whatever you want to call them to work out and "achieve" a desired result. Besides you're just making someone else rich throwing your money away on crap like that.

I think the real point here is discipline and determination. Set your goal, get out there, and do it. I say discipline is the main factor because you need to diet correctly, stay hydrated, and work hard to get where you want to be. In time I would say you would be where you want to be.

That's just my opinion however.

i used creatine with hydroxycut/xenadrine (whichever i could find cheaper) with chromium picolinate for about 3 years...

if you're using creatine, take it with a high sugar drink....

sugar (glucose/fructose) helps transport the creatine to the muscles (acts like an enzyme and bypasses your liver)

p.s. there's no way you can "spot reduce fat"

Alot of creatine now has "delivery mechanisms" incorporated into them. Not sure exactly how or what sort.. but I think it works like that.

it uses a carbohydrate to expedite the transport into the bloodstream to the muscles/etc. sugars (carbohydrates) play a vital role in cellular respiration.

exactly. all i do now is take a protein supplement just because its easier to get my daily requirements that way. thats all you really need, unless you can eat 200-250g worth of meat per day

Supplements are only a waste of money when their not used correctly. Supplements are called supplements for a reason and when used to "supplement" a good work out and nutrition plan they can help speed results. The people who waste their money on supplements are the ones who think they are magic pills that can make them a greek god while sitting on their asses. Creatine is practically a staple in every bodybuilders daily routine. And has been proven to provide results for years.
