#11401, "Just got back from Grand Prix of Canada Formula 1 race"

My first Formula 1 event. The cars are insane- sound ALOT better than they do on TV. It was a great weekend, events all weekend- Star mazda series, formula BMW, Ferrari challenge, Civic challenge, and obviously Formula 1. Alot of the downtown streets shut down and its like one big party at night. Pics will be up later- anyone else into F1?

I'll be in Indy next weekend - I've been to every race since they started running at Indy. Too bad it's probably the last year there. The wife and I are talking about going to the Canadian GP next year if the race is moved from Indy.

Montreal is a great party town. Did you check out any of the nightlife?

Who's the pretty lady emoji Looks like it was a blast, and a little side question, how many people side-stepped around the area directly under the suspended F1 car?

F1 is the shit!!
current leader is Fernando Alonso(Renault), ever since he took the championship last year he has won just about every race, the ferraris and McLarens have not been able to get it together this season.
Even worse Montoya has not helped his chances of staying with McLaren because he's alwas fuckin up.. bleh.
anyways, always a good show, can't wait for the Indianapolis race, hopefully there will be more than 6 cars this year LOL.

Sweet!

Have always wanted to go to see F1 live. Have been to Molson Indy (CART) in Toronto and the Long Beach GP twice. I did get a chance to visit Silverstone in the UK, and there were Ferraris on the track, but not Formula 1 ones (Ferrari Club UK was having a track day).

gawdamn the coverage of F1 on CBS b-l-o-w-s!!!

That Ralph Sheheen has no idea what is going on. While I give Derek Daly credit for being a successful driver, his knowledge seems outdated, is often wrong, and he repeats the same inane things over and over. Also, his voice frankly gets quite tiresome after a while.

The guys at Speed do a much better job. Varsha knows all the stats, but often gets some of the action details wrong. Hobbs and Matchett make it enjoyable for me, especially with their Brit humour. Ker-blammo!

I really miss the level of coverage on the BBC feed CBC had back when I was living in Canada. James Hunt and Murray "Unless I am very much mistaken" Walker were classic.
