well, iv made my decision, and the 2gnt is going as soon as i can find a buyer or trade it in on something else. i want a nice truck now.
for a bit iv wanted a 4 door frontier or tacoma, but i have noticed a few nices tahoes running about. i remember seeing some really slicked up ones when they got updated in the late 90's and fell in love. iv never been much of a chevy person, but its looks are hard to beat. and it deffinatley has more power over the other 2 trucks i was lookin at. iv got my pathfinder for beatin around on the trail, and shes not going anywhere. i just want a nice slick lookin truck to go out on the town in. maybe throw on some lift, exhaust, and slightly bigger tires. the pathy is a beast, but shes just not that stylin..shes a trail rig.
so anyone had any experience with them? any bad things? im not too wirried abut gas mileage as i dont drive very far and it gets better mileage than the pathy which is my DD right now.
btw im lookin at 2 doors only..in black (first preference) or white

What year are you looking at? Just be aware that if it has the Vortech engine(any displacement), that they are more than likely to leak coolant from the intake manifold gaskets, anywhere from 60k to 120k or so, just depends on how well the coolant was maintained/flushed. One more thing to look out for, is the fuel pumps. Those are known to go bad anywhere from 90k to 100k. Fuel pumps are around 300 bucks for the part, another 300 for labor if you dont do it yourself. I've done quite a few fuel pumps on many GM trucks and SUV's at my work. I see intake mani leaks all the time as well. Honestly, I would never buy a GM product anymore, just from all the dumb things i see on a daily basis at the shop..Some people rave about GM, others hate em..I hate em lol..I'll buy a KIA before another GM car haha. Those are prob the two main things to be aware of, but there are better options out there if you look for it IMO.
