How many years you been in? I am assuming quite awhile to almost hit e6
I've been in for 7 years. What's worst was I missed it by 2 points last promotion cycle in 2005. We get performance reports and affects your promotion cutoff score. Not having enough time in service and grade is what makes it hard for me to get promoted unless you score 85% or higher on the promotion test. Average for E6 in the AF right now is 9.5 years time-in-service. Also, E6 is the hardest stripe to make in the AF. But I believe there is a reason for that, I'm probably not ready for that level of responsibility yet but the pay raise looks good. Hehe
