#11212, "GSX owners?"

So i found a 95 GSX here in town, perfect body, runs and drives great. The best part about it is.... Only 56,000 original miles. The guy wants $6000 obo. I was just wondering what some of you GSX owners paid for your pride and joy, and if i should jump on this quick.

Don't sell your car to 16 year olds...

Hope you aren't still considering the GSX to get improved gas mileage over the stealth lol.

i paid $13,900 for my 1999 GSX fully loaded w/ 28,0000 original miles in august of last year.

Check for the typical stuff with any used car. Make sure you check the for the unspeakable CW. If you can, do comp check and leakdown test. Look for any leaks/smoking during and out of boost, etc.

If you do pick up the X, CHANG THE BELTS IMMEDIATELY unless they were done very recently. You don't want them to snap on you and kill the motor.

AS far as the price is concerned Check the NADA value of the car and base your offer on that.

I'm sure i'm missing some stuff but i've had a f****d up day and am in between trips to my lawyers office to file a huge lawsuit. Stopped by here to get my mind off things!

Good luck, you'll love the little bastard if you get it. Then you get to see all the ricers rushing through traffic to catch up to you because they want to race, and when they get close enough to see the GSX badge they run off all scurrred emoji

Sounds like a good price to me. Make sure you do a carfax check because a 95 with only 56,000 miles sounds kind of fishy. But then again some people have cars and don't drive them so it could be possible.

That sounds like a great deal as long as the motor is sound. If you've never owned a GSX or 4g63t before, DEFINITELY take it to a mechanic first.

You better not sell the Stealth just to save a couple dollars on gas. You got lucky getting such a nice Stealth w/ BPU mods and and 99 front everyone wants. Do the math, unless you drive A LOT you won't really save that much $ on gas.

The stealth just isnt fun anymore. Its already fast enough that i havent lost a race on the street yet. To make it faster is just too much money. Money that i dont have. Also, its tooooo hard to get a race lol. People fly up beside me hoping for a race, i get excited, then i see them check out my side skirt where it says twin turbo, and the rear window where it says AWD, and noone wants a peice haha. And the motor is just too rare and expensive, if anything ever breaks on me, i'm going to be spending way too much money.

It's definitely a good idea to buy cars based on how many street races they can generate. emoji

How pathetic.

Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone only builds their cars for the track...

That was a joke, if you didnt pick up on that. Surrounding the joke, are the reasons i want to pick up a new ride. I'm not one of the idiots that races in traffic.... I drive a dodge, not a honda.

Personally I have always liked cars that you don't see very often. It's a great looking car and already fast enough so you don't need to mod it anymore. I would just leave it alone and buy a DD.

If you get one, make sure it is in excellent running codition and not needing some work done.

I bought my gs-t after it had been sitting in the woods for 7 years and it has been a fucking nightmare fixing it. I can't stand the sight of the car anymore. I hate working on it and I want rid of it. I think I would love it if I had not have bought it non running.
