No DSM here but I feel your pain. Damn Mitsu's. Wish mine was as cheap to fix as a 1G though. Upgraded cams or a FMIC kit for my car cost more then a built Shepard tranmission and a 16G upgrade. ($2500+ for each) *sigh* -Dave

Ok so now my front engine cover is leaking oil as well as my oil pan, my pcv valve (heavily), my valve cover gasket, and my transmission...on top of the coolant leak. Oh and my ECU is shot. Whoopee.

Not that hard to fix.

Easy.

Oh come on, Andy! EASY.

So far, you've got less than three hours' and $50 worth of work listed.

This one could be a bit tricky, but otherwise, the stuff above is cake and you know you can handle it.

Unless its the radiator itself, you're looking at a hose. How difficult is that?

Bad caps? It happens, but you can pick up a new ECU on the 4g63trader, I'm sure.
Keep your head up, Andy. This is the sort of little shit that gets to all of us. It's always hard in your first few months of the DSM turning you into a mechanic, but eventually, you'll get to the point where nothing can go wrong that you can't handle. You'll just not want to spend an afternoon rebuilding your engine.

Haha, I just picked up a non-eprom with new caps for $88.25 shipped. Not bad if you ask me. And Brain, I know the work isnt that hard, its just the frustration...and the synthetic oil I put in 300 miles ago. At least I found out I have a cool dealer in my area. I went in to check my Xfer case and ended up with all this diagnostic free of charge. I asked the guy what he would charge to fix it and he told me he wouldnt even touch it. So it wasn't like he was just trying to make up problems to get some money out of me. Just ordered everything I need to fix the problems. The coolant leak is at the turbo so I just need to check that out before I see what needs to be plugged. Im just trying to get her to run really nice before March 1st. Infineon Raceway starts up Wednesday Night Drags again the first wednesday in March.
