Hey, so I went to turn on my home theater system tonight and it's totally dead. I've looked around on eBay etc and can't find just a receiver that isn't dead like mine. So, I was wondering what I could do besides buy a new one... I still have all of the five speakers plus the sub. Is there just a receiver I can buy that has close to the same power output and just cut the connectors off of the speakers and connect them to that? I don't really know jack about home theater systems. If anyone has some helpful advice, let me know. Also, my system was a Philips hts3555.
EDIT: So I was just checking the specs. The center speaker is a 3ohm and the sides are 6ohms and the sub is a passive 3ohm that was driven by the main unit. So, I]m guessing it would be hard to find something that will work with all of those speakers... But, like I said, I don't really know much about home theater systems..
