#11935, "Pick Up Help"

My father is looking for a new truck to replace our full size van. It will be used to tow the boat, utility trailers and waverunners. We are looking for something that has enough room to seat 6 comfortably. Here is the list he is considering thus far:

Dodge 1500 Mega Cab-with the Hemi, but the standard size bed because we don't want/need anything longer.

Nissan Titan

Ford F-150

and maybe a Toyota.

What do you guys think is the best out of these? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. Oh, and I told him to look at the SRT-10 (knowing that he wouldn't consider one) and he shot that down.

A v8 tundra might be a good choice. You cant go wrong with the reliability of toyota engines.

Don't sell your car to 16 year olds...

The F150 is a hell of a truck for towing, the new ones are rated for up to just shy of 10,000lbs i believe...

But most customer complations about them are mostly about a slick vibration. Just keep in mind, it has a big rigid frame(because i can tow so much), and you wont mind the slight vibrations.

If i were looking for a towing truck, that is what i would get... but then again... I'm a Ford Technician, so...

You'll do good as long as its not a Ford, GMC, or Chevy. I like Dodge.

I have a 1998 Chevy C1500 Cheyenne, and I fucking hate it. Its a gas guzzling shitbox with wheels.
