alright, I have tmobile as my current phone provider, but i was thinking about switching to cingular next month. I was wondering, is there a way to take my current phone and make it compatible with cingular's network? I have heard that you can but i would have no clue on how to do so. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to unlock your phone to work on all networks I believe (each provider run on there own frequeny). I did this with my old phone that I bought off ebay, it was something else and I needed it to work with cingular. You can usually find kits on ebay ( just a wire to hook to your computer and a code) and unlock so it works on all providers. But this will change from phone to phone, some are more advanced I think.
t-mob and cingular both use SIM cards so yes you can. You will need to unlock it though like the others said. If you went to another phone provider that didn't use a SIM car(ie:verizon) you would have to get a new phone.
