#47238, "Which of these two welders should I get?"

Looking at getting one of these, which do you think?

I like this one, but I am not aware how good it can weld aluminum with the spool gun.... Anyone have any input on this? Also, it requires a 220v outlet.

I was also thinking about this one... Cheaper, can plug into any 110v outlet, but no welding aluminum.......

Mainly I am going to want to weld exhaust/downpipes. But eventually want to do intake manifolds..... I just don't know which to get.... If the first one welds aluminum well, then I would probably go that route, but if it doesn't, I don't want to spend the extra cash and have to wire in 220 into my garage. What do you think?

Or should I just go with something cheaper for welding downpipes and exhausts?

Both can weld aluminum with the right accessories. I have the ProCore 125, and purchased the MIG conversion kit later on (140 would have been cheaper in the whole shot). You won't be disappointed with the 140.

Thanks for the reply. I'm leaning more toward the 140 as well. Might be using my home depot card today lol.

The 140 is a great welder. So easy to use and begin welding right out of the box, even for a beginner like me!

I just bought one last week and love it. It can also weld alum. with extra accessories.
