I don't know exactly how to answer, but this may help:
Me and Josh (shuwa29) just helped a buddy of mine lower his '98 GS-T. I've got pics from the install of the rear springs. Its real easy.
Jack up the car and make sure everything is secure. Unbolt the shock at the bottom. Unbolt the shock at the top. Get someone to push down on the wheel as you remove the shock and spring. Take your spring compressor and compress the spring. Remove shock from spring. Put new spring on shock. Reinstall. I'll try and get the pics up for more reference.
Chris

This is for the rear only. I was at an F-Body gathering while they were doing the front shocks the day before last, so there aren't any images of that. Sorry.
Most images are very large, 1024xwhateverthehell, so just wait for the download.
Next, I'm not sure on the exact sizes of the tools used. My buddies did the work while I took the pictures. You can try to PM shuwa29 as we did the install at his house. He might know. If you've got a standard ratchet set, you should be fine, though, as far as getting the bolts off goes. The only tool that you most likely won't have that you'll need is a spring compressor. We got one from Pep Boys. All we had to do was leave a deposit that we got back upon returning the part. Its hard to explain how to use it real well, but once you see it you'll have it figured out in about .129 seconds. Here is an image of the spring compressor used (Figure #1: ).
OK. Jack up the car. Make sure the ebrake is on and that you are using the proper jack point (Figure #2: ).
Next you've got to unbolt the bottom bolt connecting the shock. Here is a picture of that (Figure #3: ).
After you are done working that bolt off (Figure #4: ), you'll need to unbolt the rest of the assembly at the top. Now you'll need to do the two outside bolts, not the one at the center. This can be seen here (Figure #5: ) Here is another more clear shot of those bolts (Figure #6: ).
Next you're going to need to get that whole assembly down somehow. What we did was get someone to push down on the wheel and tire to lower the thing outlined in red in the next image enough to remove everything (Figure #7: ). Once down and you've got it separated, it will look like this (Figure #8: ).
For the rest of it I'm going to make another post.

Now put the spring compressor onto the spring as shown. Figure #9:
Use the ratchet to work compress the spring enough so that it is not applying any more pressure on any part of the shock. After that you are going to have to remove the plate that holds the spring onto the assembly. Get a clamp and clamp it onto this notch as shown in Figure #10. Now clamp it on there good or you're going to start stripping that bolt. Figure #10:
Now use the clamp to hold as shown and use a wrench to twist the bolt off as shown. Figure #11:
Once you've got the bolt off, remove the plate. As you remove the plate, make sure to note exactly how those parts were on there so that you don't put them back on in the incorrect order. Here is what it will look like witht he plate removed. Figure #12:
Take that yellow foam looking thing off, then pull the shock from the spring. After you've done that, start reassembling everything as it was before, except this time with the lowering spring. Figure #13:
When you've got the plate put back on, you're going to have to use the clamp to hold the skinny shiny metal portion of the shock still while you torque down the bolt at the top as much as possible. This image should help. Figure #14:
Once you've got that reassembled, just reinstall everything as it was before. When you try to put the assembly back on, first get the bolts at the top lined up straight and begin bolting those one. Then get someone to push down on the wheel and put the shock on at the bottom. It won't go in completely by hand, so what you're going to need to do is get a metal rod and bang it slowly but surely into place. Once in place, torque the bolts down.
There you have it, one side of the rear springs done. Now do the other side just the same. If you've got any questions, just ask and I'll do my best to answer.

yeah me and shuwa29 just got done putting the pro-kit on my car...it took us about three hours. we used the chilton's mitsubishi manual. it's not that hard....just time comsuming. just make sure you remember to put something under the wheel when you let the jack back down.....depending on what kind of jack your using
