#9592, "gsx suspension on fwd?"

today i talked to my friend who has a gst and i told him i might put it to stock height again... he told me to just use gsx suspension which he has because his car is not as low as mine? because on the gsx suspension its more stiff thats all? is this true? could we use there springs and struts? i have not seen his car recently since he is rebuilding it for the last 8 months..haha

for the front i believe the suspension setups are identical for the fwd and the awd.. as for the rears.. its completely different. I would not advise using anything specified to be used on a gsx on a fwd. There are exceptions though. For example you can use brake related stuff off a gsx on a fwd.. like the twin piston calipers for the front.

as far as i know, i dont believe there is a difference in stiffness between the gsx and the fwd.

I was reading one of the tech manuals posted online. I've noticed there all the DSM shared the front suspension. With the GSX there was a slightly higher spring rate than the FWd models. Check online tech man I known there is some info on the rear GSX suspension. Well, Hey wait you can just use the springs only. It the rears should fit. Remember if you only change or increase the spring rates for the front only you'll have more understeer.

I have gsx springs on my talon right now...... they work GREAT! only diff is that it wont be as low in the back due to use not have the transfer case that weighs 300lbs!! but it launches great now!!

Is your dash painted?
