#9405, "PLEASE HELP quick!! Front Camber kit..."

Just got the ingalls front camber kit to fix my tire wear prob. I'm going on a trip this weekend and have an alignment sched for tomorrow morning.
It's the kit that adjusts up to +3degrees.

When I put it on and lower the car back down, the upper arm goes into the car. It's like the kit extended the arm out too far. I put the adjustment to the minimum amt (like 1.25) and it still hits. Does anyone have this or had this problem??? TIA for any input on this....

Matt

Yes i know exactly what you are talking about. The outer edge of the upper control arm is hitting the little "pocket" that goes up into the fender? I have the same ingalls kit, and i have it adjusted all the way to 1.25 also, but mine doesn't hit. It is VERY close though, i would guess about 1/8" of clearence left. I have heard people getting in there and pounding out the metal to give room. Try that, there shouldn't be much metal left to get out of the way...Or try and grind off some of the metal lip that is on the outer edge of the control arm where its hitting..

take a metal bat and roll your fenders..stick it in the gap (if it's too small jack it up) and using the tire as a fulcrum, bend the lip up
