Hey man i just read your post on the camber correction problem...i'm getting ready to upgrade to 17s fairly soon..like in a month and a half....i bought the rre rear camber kit for the back..i have nothing on the front yet....i will get my toe dialed when its alighned ...i have Eibach sportlines and Kyb GR2 shocks...the back should be fine but i noticed my tires are getting eaten in the front...did you just get the car alighned to figure out how bad the front camber was off or do you know a way to measure this? or did you just get the toe dialed out and find out, then get the camber kit and trust that its right or did you take it back afterwards to have it rechecked....just wondering...i don't know to much about camber issues....thanks for your help..

well i did my springs and i put in the rear 15 dollar mod on the back at the time of the install. Didn't do anything with the fronts. I let the springs settle for a few days, then took it to get an alignment. they put it on the rack, and said i needed to get the front camber kit to get back into spec. I was off quite a bit in the front, so was my toe. The rear camber needed a few more washers on it too to get that into spec, esp on one side. The print out sheet they gave me said i need about 1.25 positve degrees of camber for my fronts, so i got the Ingalls front kit which put my front camber right into spec. I got the kit at gmpperformance.com So i would say get the springs in and let them settle, then get the car on the alignment rack to see how bad off your camber is. See what you need and go from there. They didn't charge me to put the car on the rack, because after the kit is installed, the alignment will be needed again. Hope this helps..

edit: ok, i think you already have had the springs on, so just get the car on the rack to see where you are at as far as camber goes. See how many degrees you are off, then get the kit that puts back those degrees. And 17's won't have any effect on your wheel alignment specs either if you are worried about that

now im nervous about lowering my car. im confused about all these technical terms like toe and how many degrees to adjust shit

well ANY lowering will effect your alignment specs(camber, toe most specifically) The rear seems to be more effected with lowering, and the camber goes off pretty good. Camber is the /\ tilting of the wheels inward. This will wear your insides of your tires rather quickly, depending on how much you lower. The 15 dollar mod seems to work well for most drops. Front camber is going to be off too, but prob not quite as bad as the rear. When your camber goes off, so does your toe \/(looking from the front of the car, the wheels will point outward to the left or right). No kits are needed for the toe, the cars adjustments are good enough to get that into spec. There is no adjustment from the factory for the front or rear for camber, hence why we need camber kits to bring the wheel back outward.

Hey just jumped off subject for a sec....ExtremeRs, how much of a difference did you feel w/ the energy suspension motor mounts? i hear they help get a lot of torque to the ground...true?

Well it feels like the power is getting to the ground now. I can feel that the engine isn't rocking back and forth now. At a hard take off, no more wheel hop, and i either can spin the tires, or bog the motor, just need to get a little better at launching There is a nice little vibration at idle, esp below 900 rpm's, but only vibration is at that or below rpm's. Very good mod for 20 bucks
