#8895, "take off pro kit spring or not?"

i have had the eibach pro kit springs and tokico adjustables for a while over a yr... i love how it handles, but i hate how low it is now etc... if i put my stock springs back on and leave the tokico adjust on would there be a big change in handling etc? this is for a 2nd gen fwd eclipse... or should i get coil overs ?
thanks
michael

it's that annoying? hmmm, I wonder if I should even get them now... hey are you gonna sell them then? I'd like to maybe buy them. Did you have any new noises with them. I'm still so split on it. I hate the fender gap of our cars though.

Wow I had no idea that prokits were that low. I thought its only supposed to be a 1.3" drop. I would go back to stock if it's really buggin you, or else get adjustable coilovers. Adjustable coilovers will be much stiffer than stock springs (stiffer than pro-kits also). Your ride will be more harsh though, as they use high spring rates meant for the track.

Hey I hear ya bro... I have H&R Race springs which were suppose to drop 2 inches. I swear I'm past two inches. I scrape on speed bumps, driveways, just about anything that is raised. I was asking myself the same question... for now I am still lowered but I wouldnt be surprised if the springs come off before next winter.

I don't see why its so hard to drive, usually roads other places are better than the roads here since we go from -30 to 105 degrees.

If your car is going to scrape than take the long way or slow down. If the driveway is that steep, park in the street.

I drive on intrax 2" springs year round. 2 other buddies drive with about a 3" drop. One has cut sprint springs and the other coilovers.

Doesn't eibach make some springs that are factory height or so but are way stiffer?

i think h&r makes some that are less than an inch drop. Otherwise gsx or spyder rims mighte work aand they should be stiffer since the cars are heavier.
