yes, slotted rotors are typically designed to be put on the left or right side of the car

Yes they are. If you put them on wrong, they will not serve their purpose. It kinda hard to actually tell you how they go, but if you look for pics online or in a magazine, you will notice they all face the same direction. They also go the same way as cross drilling. I'll try and tell you though. If you are looking at the right side one, the slott wether straight or curved will slope down from the upper left to bottom right....if that makes any sense to you. Just look for some pics, you'll see.

I called AEM and they said it goes from the inside of the rotor to the out side. I stll get the same sound as if they were on backwards. I'll have that though right? The AEM big rotors look awesome.

Looking at the left side of the car - If you put your finger in the center, and move radially outwards, the slot will rotate clockwise. That's the best I can explain it. doing the same on the right, it should be counterclockwise...
