well Thura and I compared our rear springs.. as we both have prokits.. he has an older version where the springs were colored red.. mine are more recent and were colored black.. well i posted awhile back about thinking the rear was sagging. we counted the number or coils on the back springs.. we discovered that i had 7 and he had 9.. making me suspect that for some reason it appeared that i had rear sportline springs, because of how low it appears to sit..

what i need is for those or you that have prokits and sportlines, to count the number or coils on those springs.. and post results.. thanks.

I thik they are the same length...I switched form sportlines to prokits. It's just the Prokits have a higher spring rate. Maybe he got it on backwards

im not sure if i understood your post.. what are the same length... i just looked at a picture of both the front and rear springs that i receieved and noticed that the rears had 7 coils and the fronts 8.. but of course the fronts are much larger in coil size.. Thura's car sits perfect like its supposed to on the prokits while mine well looks too low in the back for prokits.. and i know i have the right springs on the front and rear. so lets get some numbers emoji

Hmmm, u said prokits are supposed to be black and urs are red? I had sportlines put on recently that are used and are colored red. I dunno what color the prokits were supposed to be before. If it isn't red, well, time to start asking around even more then. Isn't there like a code # or something written on the springs to tell the difference?

no what i said was that thura aka avenger, has the older version of prokits where they use to paint the prokits red.. i have the more recent version that are painted black.. his car sits even and mine doesnt and many of the people on the board that have prokits seem to be lower in the back with the prokits.. what im trying to find out is if there is something definatly wrong with my springs or if they are the wrong kind.. they were brand new out of the box and i checked all the numbers on them and they appeared to be right.. but the back of my car sits so low that it appears like a sportline spring drop in the back while the front is where its supposed to be. and im on stock 16in rims too.. neways.. count them coils and the color of your prokits.. let me know.. thanks.

Maybe the weight of your stereo system in the trunk is affecting the height?

My bad. If I could only see the number of coils in my setup, then compare them with urs. If we have the same number, there is a possibility it might be sportlines. Its late already tho. Will check later...

I thought I replied to this but I guess not. I've had both prokits (currently on the car) and sportlines. So I could see the difference between the 2. Now Jason has prokits now and his rear sits WAY lower than mine did when I had the sportlines in. He doesn't have that much more weight in the rear than I do (both of us had the spare, subs, 2 amps) and I used to have a crap load of tools back there too. So yes I think his prokits are either not really prokits or are defective. His car is as low as mine was with my sportlines if not lower. It's almost to the point that the rear wheel well needs to be rolled out. I didn't even have that problem with the sportlines.

Now I know this has come up before with some people having that problem with prokits sitting entirely TOO low. Remember these are prokits not the sportlines. If the sportlines are supposed to be lower he'd be sitting on the ground.
