#6927, "Swaybar install mess up alignment?"

Yo, I'm installing Tokico struts (got my H&R springs installed before), slappin' on the rear camber kit while I'm at it. Waiting for GST swaybars, should I wait to get these and install them before getting the alignment? Will installing these throw off the alignment?

I think I would wait... unless your alignment is so out of whack that you dont feel safe or something lol. But seriously, dont know what alignments cost for lowered vehicles (im soon to find out) but dont waste your money bro

I don't think it'll throw your alignment off, your just adding stuff. Then again if you converting a RS to a GS/GST arms it might change something. Just to be safe I would wait.

Just so you know I paid 60 bucks to get my car aligned at sears. Some old guy saw my car and was like is that thing lowered?? I said of course and he was like well I cant do nothing with it. I said why not, if you can do it on corvettes why cant you do it to mine. Another guy said its no problem give us two hrs, well just use some boards to get it on the rack.

I'd get a alignment anytime you change a suspension component. I actually did my own alignment at the auto hobby shop. If your car is off toe then your tires will be feathered and will wobble. All they did with my car was put it on the rack and put these board things on the rims and a light thing is in front of the car. For the rear it's just an off set bolt that sets the toe the fronts are tie rods. Setting the camber in the front witht the offset bushing camber kit was kinda hard to adjust so I just turned it all the way.

LOL yeah i work at NTB which is the same exact thing as a sears auto center. our mechanics always bitch about lowered cars. alignmentis always a 'B' cause the camber is thrown out so far. the only time the camer is out that far is when an old beater truck comes in with like really bad struts and they sag. all oru mechanics will do it though. not sayin NTB is better but as for my store.

Installing a sway bar will not mess up your alignment.
