#6881, "20s, Dubs, Twinkies..."

A quick question... is it possible to fit 20" rims on an Eclipse. I know it sounds crazy, but I found someone who can give me an incredible deal on some 20" chrome wheels in our bolt pattern that would run me less than getting most 18"s. I'd probably have to roll the fenders, right?

Thanks

You'd definatly have to roll the fenders -- what size are the tires? 235/35/20? Chrome dubs will be really really heavy, but I think you could get them to fit. Also, when turning your wheel all the way you might have trouble with the 235's rubbing against some engine shit....

um you would have to cut your fenders out. and even so the widest you can go is 8". if you found 20x8's than try it. i highly doubt they'll fit. and you would prolly need a 30 series tire not 35. i would look at Nitto (shitto) or falken they're the only companies i know of that make a tire that thin.

thanks beefgg for the sig

You can fit 20's but it will take some custom work and it wont be toooo driveable.

19's are as big as you can go. Avengers cant even fit 20's. Go with 19's most people wont notice the difference

Since when is 8" width the widest we can go. I know few guys running 18x8.5 with 235/40-18s. One on stock suspension and two with 1.5" drops. None of them have a problem with the tires rubbing on anything. Only thing done was rolling the fenders.

think again...my rims actualy measure almost 21" around, whether that is the same for all 19s i dont know but if not, then some 20s would fit. a 20x8 should go cause i got 19x8 and im dropped significantly more than most people.

well i dont know if our wheel wells are the same, but one of the asog guys tried to put 20's on his venge and when he tried to put the car back on the ground the wheels wouldnt fit in the wheel well. I dunno, i guess you could try, but id rather be safe than sorry.
