HadesOmega would be the one to talk to about this but I'll outline some of the basics.
Springs like Eibachs, alot of peeps really like the ProKits. I got Progress Springs.
Get some good performance struts. Tokiko makes some very good Adjustables but are a little pricey but well worth it. They also make the non adj. Blues.
Upper Strut bars front and rear. These are very cheap to find. I noticed a bit of a difference when I installed mine on. They help to stiffen up the chassi while cornering.
Sway Bars. These are a bit expensive but if you want your car to handle these are a must.

Are they worth the $300? By the time I get them I'd have H&R Sport springs (1.5"+ drop), Tokico Blues, rear camber kit and 3G RX7 rims (16x8 @ 17lbs, TIGHT). Anyway, I don't think strut bars are all that great but I defenitely would like to tighten up the steering.
Make sure you check that post out it's good stuff. A good place to start are shocks and tires. If your shocks are like 5 years old like mine were they're most likely blown and don't help your cornering at all. Buy some heavy duty replacement shocks and lowering springs to lower the cars center of gravity. Don't forget that tires are what plant your car to the ground if you have power but crappy tires your not taking advantage of that power. Sway bars will helps a lot also, they'll keep your car from rolling. You can get strut bars also but read my post first....

if i'm not mistaken tokico blues are about 90 a peice. so for another 29 plus tax you can get the top of the line strut for us from tirerack.com. KONI yellows. i would get those instead for the small price difference and having a top of the line adjustable strut. can't beat it. plus they have a lifetime warranty so if it blows you get another one. as long as your not lowered to far. although cyan has gotten reimbursed (sp)

You are mistaken, if you pay $90 for Tokico blues you should be beaten with a lead pipe, www.gmpperformance.com has 'em for $50.66 a piece, I got mine from a local place for $230 out the door for all 4 corners. That's a hell of a lot less than $480+shipping. Second Tokico covers blues with a limited warranty also, the Konis might be a little better but they are much more expensive.
