I remember someone saying a while back that RRE's stainless brake lines hook right up to our rear drums with no problems right? Can anyone justify this again for me. Thanks

i don't know, i really can't tell a differnece. I have powerslots up front, drums out back, axxis pads and Valvoline fluid (suggested by RRE) and it feels exactly the same as before, which is unresponsive. Feels like my brakes barley work, my moms taurus brakes are stronger, more responsive, and have stiffer pedal feel than mine, maybe i did something wrong.

I think a lot of it has to do with the drum brakes in the back. And if pedal feel is mushy still, I think there is a way to adjust it, and maybe you need to bleed the fluid again? The setup you have should be pretty good, except for the rear drums...

As a matter of fact, i wrote up a short proc a while back. look under archives "gzrs99 SS brake line) It will tell you excatly tools needed, parts that needs to be removed. I'm still writing for the front.
Any body have a pic of the rear brake capiler, i want to know ss brake line can fit directly

Use aluminum brake lines! When I did my read drum/disc conversion, I needed to replace one of the brake lines given that the mating lines from the new discs and the old drum lines (after I mangled one) wouldn't match. It was male to male or something like that.
So what did I do? I want to advanced auto looking for something I could dig up and found some bendable almuminum (I think they're aluminum form what I remember, since they bend so easy) brake lines with compressing fittings on each end. They're very generic looking and bendable to whatever desired shape you need. They also come in all sorts of lengths and sizes. These lines are going to provide the same firmness and durability of SS brake lines while only costing a fracitonal amount. IIRC, they only cost me about $3-4 for a line.

i'm not sure of this, but its important so i will post it. A lot of people seem to thing the ss lines will last forever because of the stainless steel. As far as i'm concerned they actually have to be replace more often (about every 2 years). Remember, the lines themselves aren't ss, the lines are teflon. The ss is used to shield the teflon so that it won't break if it gets hit from a rock or whatever else.
