#6226, "new suspension, or just springs?"

I have a 95 GS, and i want to lower my car. I was wondering, should i get just the springs and lower it about 2-3 inches or spend more and get a whole suspension kit? I have the stock 16in. rims, and do not plan on getting a body kit anytime soon.
Thanks,

i have just lowered my car a few months back. i have asked this question before. from the gurus here i found that it is wiser to save up and replace your shocks at the same time.

your stock shocks may blow soon after you install lowering springs. then you'd have to take it apart again and align it again.

if you are after performance and not so much the "look" or if you only have money for either shocks or springs... go for the shocks.

hope this helps.

i got my shocks through tirerack.com. got my prokits at a groupbuy... i will try to remember where if you are interested.

One more thing to consider... if you are going to have a shop put your shocks and springs on do it at the same time to save on labor costs. The shop I go to charges $150 to install either, but if you do them at the same time its only one labor charge. IF you are doing it yourself then you could wait a little bit to do the shocks, btu I agree that they are going to go quick after you lower the car.
