I just installed the Pro Kit with Tokico Blues and did the $15.00 rear camber mod. The problem I am having is that my rear tires are rubbing when I corner or hit a large bump. Is this a common thing for the rear to rub with a Pro Kit? I have an RS with 17x7.5in. wheels with Nitto 450's in 225/45-17. I am going to get it aligned on Monday, will they be able to help me out with any type of adjustment I might need to correct this?
Take a baseball bat (alluminum) and roll your fenders. Meaning that little lip that's cutting into your tires. Take the bat and bend the lip up using the tire as a fulcrum (leverage) It take about 10 minutes and is really easy. Man when I had folks in my car and the back was rubbing there was like smoke from the fender cutting into the tires, not good. Hey by the way how do those tokico blues handle? I'm thinking of changing out my AGXs for a set of em THanks
OK. I took out the bat and tried the fender roll. I assume were using the handle end of the bat, cause the barrel won't fit between tire and fender. I pushed up the inner lip of the fender (part under neath that is unseen) but the outter part of the fender (part seen) is still low enough to rub on the tire. Is there more to rolling the fender than this? Am I missing something? Should I have just bought a narrower tire? As for performance of the Blues, I have yet to get my alignment so I haven't had a chance to run them hard yet, but I can tell they are a huge improvemnet over my stockers which had 45,000 miles on em.
Just the inner unseen part is all you need. I had pro kits with the blues, and 17's and had to do the same thing. Just make sure you went around the whole upper part of the fender and that entire sharp inmdder fender channel has been "rolled" in. It is amazing how just that, is enough to do the trick.

Do a lot of other people with prokits and tokico blues have this problem? I was planning to get prokits with tokico blues and 17x8 with 225/45 but now I'm not sure if I should.

Do you guys think I will have the same problem, i have 215/47/17 tires and will be putting the pro-kits on with agx's soon if so is all i need to do is roll the fender.

With 215's, I just couldn't hazard a guess, but you'll know soon enough once it's all put together. Remember, there's a reason why many people upsize to a wider tire. A little more contact patch for launching and it grabs the corners a bit better.
Also, rolling fenders is easy and undetectable.

I used to run 215/45r17 on 17x7.5 with eibach sportlines installed and I didn't notice any problems with rubbing on that setup. Can't remember the offset of the wheels I was running though.

you shouldnt. when i bought my wheels from tirerack they told me to stay with the 215 if i had plans of lowering the car. with my setup, they do not rub at all.
i have a clanking sound on my left rear.. but that is another story.
