#6074, "Ingalls front camber kit Problem............"

Ok I have a Ingalls front camber kit 0-3 deg. I lower my car like 2.5-3" so I got this camber kit. When I went to install it even at the lowest setting it was rubbing the inter wheel well. I took a look back at the instructions and it said you might have to make mods to the inter wheel well. So thats what I did. I cut my inter well with a saw so the upper control arm had room to move outward.

Now the problem is that my upper control arm is hitting the top of the wheel well when ever I go over a bump! Is there anything I can do? I had to raise my car back up so it wont hit. Has anyone had this problem? In the stock setting there is about 1-1.5" more space to go upward than what I have. I was thinking about smashing up the inter fender but I hood has metal that comes down on the sides. I dont know what to do. Should I just get rid of my camber kit and only lower 1.5" or what.

Let me know

i had the same problem with my speciality products kit and coilovers there's 2 things that i was told can be done about it.

1) Where the control arm is hitting the wheel well, there should be scratches or marks. Take a hammer and pound that spot up, giving the control arm more space to move.

2) There's like a small flange that's right on the end of the upper control arm. That is what's hitting, i have pics of mine that is now bent if u want to see. You can grind that off, then weld a bead seam around that same spot to ensure strength.

wow you must be really really low. Im lowered about 3 inches in my avenger with that same ingalls kit(is it the extreme kit) and nothing rubs at all, and i can only fit one finger inbetween the tire and fender, sometimes less.

I cut out the inner fender, so I dont have the problem with it bending. Smashing up the fender with a hammer is what I was planning to do, but If I go to far then my hood will stick up. and will the metal just bend up or could it crack? Thanks for your help.

I just installed the same kit today, and my buddy at tire kingdom had to bend the control arm a little bit to make sure that I wouldn't rub, kinda scary though, but hey.....at least I won't be eating up tires every 4 months whenever I get my new wheels.

How much did you adjust? I did 3 deg. because my back tires are a little off with the $15 kit. Let me know. Is your control arm still going where the stock one went?
