And you thought there weren't alot of options with true coilovers.

Why true coilovers you say? Other coilover/shock combonations are not as reliable as true coilovers because of the one piece design. One webpage said that coilovers don't hold up well in hard driving, and they tend to feel like they are slipping off the perches and clunk. But i'm sure for the normal driver just looking for ride adjustability the standard setup will work fine.

But if you wanna go allout, in the newest issue of superstreet.. there are more then a few companies that have coilovers for eclipse. Don't know if all of them are for FWD.. but it's worth a shot to look yourself (all prices are MSRP.. so they'll be a little cheaper then what they say if you look around):

apc... fuggit.. i won't even bother with them.

Apex Racing Series Coilover- $1299-1499 - www.apexsprings.com

B&G Adjustable Shock Absorber Suspension Kit - $1800 (found these for 1299 before). www.b-gsuspension.com

Intrax ARS iX Coilover System - $1,799 www.intraxsuspension.com

Tanabe Sustec Pro SS Series - $1,400-2,300 ("upper pillowball mounts additional $400-500"???) www.mackinindustries.com

Tein Type HA Damper - $1,109-1,868 ("up to $2,284 for set with pillo-ball mounts"????) www.tein.com

Also, there is a company called Nex which makes an Nex Suspension Kit Type SR true coilovers... wasn't mentioned in the magazine... only found like 2 webpages that actually sell it.. but Lotalon used to have them and he said they were great. Found them for $850 shipped.

OBX is a knockoff company that makes a bunch of lil things, just like APC. I wouldn't trust them for a performance coilver though.

I did some research on the true coilover links and applications i listed before... so here's the finals FYI...

>apc... fuggit.. i won't even bother with them.

still agree with that.

>Apex Racing Series Coilover- $1299-1499 -
>www.apexsprings.com

turns out they DON'T make an application for Eclipse.

>B&G Adjustable Shock Absorber Suspension Kit - $1800 (found

These are the ones I like the best... maybe it's cuz of their european heritage or maybe it's cuz of their no bs style.

>Intrax ARS iX Coilover System - $1,799
>www.intraxsuspension.com

These exist too.. seem pretty good... i'm sure you can find it cheaper if you looked around.

>Tanabe Sustec Pro SS Series - $1,400-2,300 ("upper

Tanabe and Tein both confused the hell out of me... Tanabe didn't make any sense and didn't have an application list on their main page.. but i know it exists though..

>Tein Type HA Damper - $1,109-1,868 ("up to $2,284 for set

The prices are listed in YEN... so... i just said forget it.

These still seem like a good cheap true coilover solution.
