#5891, "wheel offset issues"

hey guys! the proper wheel size for our cars would be 5X114.3, 46mm offset, right? whould need to be done to fit 18X8 wheels with a 35mm offset? is it possible for them to fit on our cars? as far as i understand, they would but the fender flange must be rolled. what is this referring to? i don't understand what this means. could you guys clarify that for me, and would doing that work to fit these wheels?

i called tirerack.com and they said that wheels with a 35mm offset would fit, and that is THE lowest offset allowed on our cars. the wheels will be right to the edge, WITHOUT sticking out. any opinions guys? agree/disagree?

http://home1.gte.net/macross/offsetFAQ.html

On that website they say that +35mm or maybe even +30mm is the limit on dsm. Tirerack seems to be fairly knowledgable also about what will and will not fit on your car.
