I currently have 205/65R15...stock tires on my 95 Talon...I want to upgrade to some 17" ADR GT Sports rims...probably 215/40R17 for the tires...but want to keep the correct speed showing on my speedometer...is there a way to reprogram it or recalibrate it to accomodate the tires and rims that I want?...also des anyone have these rims on their ride?...if so could you put a pic or 2 up so I can see how they look?...THANX!

I am 99% sure that you will not have any problems with your speedo if you upgrade to bigger rims. Beleive it or not everything will even how and let me explain how. As you increas your rim size you have to decrease your tire wall size. In your case your going from stock 205/65R15 to 215/40R17, so your going from a big blimp size of 65 down to a nice skinny size of 40. While as you at the same time increase your rim size from 15" to 17". Do you see how everything evens out? The car should notice that your new rims will actually act just like your old stock rims since it thinks they are the same size. Understand everything?

mine is about 3-4 MPH faster by having 205-40-17 tires on my 17" enkeis. I am going back to 215-45's now that I can fit them. I got a pro kit. I had HEAVY subs in the trunk, so I couldn't fit 45's in back. emoji

if your ride height changes you'll have speedo problems. just a little rule of thumb. it's not a big deal cause speedo's are exactly accurate any how. they're accurate to the speed limit signs but you can pin a stock car at 25 mph and you'll be clocked slower. cousin's a cop he told me this

thanks beefgg for the sig
