My lower ball joint when i turn or hit certain bumps sounds like I have an old rusty door under the hood. I just took it in for the recall like 2 months ago and they inspected it and said it was fine. Is there a grease fitting or should I just replace the part or call chrysler customer service and demand the recall be performed again and the part replaced... it was the lower ball joints correct? any other ideas what to do, Im just gonna try to grease it up..

If it's making noise, take it back. The recall isn't to inspect and replace at thier discression, the recall is to REPLACE them, no questions asked.
If they refuse to do it, show them the recall notice from http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ . If they still refuse.. Contact the nhtsa and report them. it is a safety recall that can result in DEATH if not performed, and it is ILLEGAL for them to refuse to perform this recall as descibed by the NHTSA.

is that what you guys think the problem is, the ball joint, it is making the creaking noise when i turn, it sounds like a rusty door opening. i have listened and it sounds like its coming from right behind the left front wheel. and it came out of nowhere, it just started one day and has gotten louder since this is about a two week problem so far, but I cant stand the noise anymore.

At least get it looked at.. it may be CV joints, but if it's the ball joint, you DON'T want that sucker coming loose at 30MPH.

The recall I got said they MAY replace them IF they were in fact bad. They called me and told me mine needed replacing tho. I haven't had any problems b4 or after, just glad I got new ones.
