I know this belongs in the suspension forum, but I need a quick answer so I had to put it here. Is it possible, through normal jacking up and removing wheel, to put your own coilovers in? Or just normal lowered springs? I can get them for $70 instead of $180 including installation. The extra $100+ seems worth it to save and do it myself, if its possible. Thanks.
btw, I have Chilton's manual and it has a small section about struts/removal but nothing directly about springs or anything.

Check the www.2gnt.com main page under Mods I think, and Corbin has a walk through of installing your own springs. Coilovers are similar but may invovle grinding or knocking off the spring perch depending on application. I would find at least one other person to help you as parts of the suspension are on really tight.
