Drums use shoes right? When do these need to be replaced? My drums are squealing really bad when I come to a hault. Help....please.

yea, you pobably need some new shoes. Just go to your local parts store and buy a set for like $10-$15. Installation is kind of tricky, but if you have a Chilton's manual that should help.

Cool. I do have a Chiltons...looking at it right now. Taking it apart dosen't look that bad. Putting it back together looks like its gonna be a bitch with all the springs. Guess I know what I'm gonna be doing Friday afternoon. Oh well, thanks for the help!

P.S. I hope my drums don't have to be machined. I don't mind having drums. In fact I will probably keep them and do a brake upgrade up front....one of these days.
