ok...i got to get my 60k service soon and my brakes are startin to squeel under heavy pressure. I know i need new pads, but what else can i do to upgrade my brakes under $150. tia

get slotted rotors and never go cheap with brakes get powerslot rotors or u can get stainless steel brake lines for under a 100 at roadraceengineering.com

for 150.. just get a set up Repco/Axxis Metal Master Brake Pads... they're really durable and don't shed that much brake dust (so it's said). Also helps in braking power. That's what i'll be getting soon too, because i'm also nearing 60k.

and i'll slowwwlllyy save to get some cross drilled and slotted big brakes.

$150 -

Metal Master pads, Ford Dot 3 fluid, SS lines for feel. That should come out to right around $150 shipped from RRE.

Do not bother with crossdrilled. They will crack and are unecessary. Slotted rotors are helpful as they will help alleviate gas and avoid excess heat in continuous braking conditions. They do not actually stop the car quicker. Good tires and good pads stop the car quicker.
