OK, what do these do? I know I need adjustables, but do they just control the bounce or do they raise or lower the car?

Why do you "need" the adjustables. All it does is let you see how stiff or firm you want them. The non adjustables just have one setting that is a good balance.

thought it was only stiffness. I need the adjustables cuz the regular ones would blow easier right? And if not, the roads here really suck. Get off my back already, cuz I don't give a fuck bout your little contradictary BS statements anymore man. Just wasting space.

Seriously I replied to that a long time ago and what is wrong. I answered your question and asked one of my own and explained more. You need to grow up or else NOBODY will ever help you with your posts. I am always more than helpful to everyone on this board. Does anyone else have a problem with me?

no offence 9d9 but he's got a point..... why do u "need" adjustables? yes in my opinon they are better, and yes I would rather have the adjustables. BUT u don't need them... I am sure there are a bunch of peeps on the board who have the tokico blues and are very happy with them. U need to stop thinking that people, or one person in paticular is atacking u..... he did answer the question.... I see how it could have sounded rude but he did answer it and just asked why u "needed" them.

aftermarket performance shocks won't hava a problem with the springs, only benefit adjustables will offer you is you can set the smooth for regular driving and stiffer if you feel like turning hard or your raceing or something

so, the blues are made for a lowered car? I was assuming adjustables were for lowered cars and the non adjustables were stock replacements. I am not thinking he is attacking me. It's just he is the follow up on a lot of my posts since that BS and now it's like he is trying to contradict me in every post. That's all I mean.

I say get the adjustables so you can change them at the track to get better times. I found a site where the difference between the blues and illuminas is only $7 each shock. So I will probably end up getting the adjustables.

The adjustables are 5-way adjustable for rebound and dampening. It allows you to tailor the stiffnes of the strut to your spring stiffness. The non-adjustables are good if you are only looking at a simple drop using eibach 1.3" springs but if you get stiffer springs you might be better off getting the adjustables due to the extra stiffness they allow you to add to avoid bottoming out on lowered cars. I personally like two suspension setups, one of which I am running - Tokico Illuminas with H&R sports (1.5") or Eibach Pro-kits(1.3"), the H&R being slightly lower and slightly stiffer which I have and is as low as I would ever go. Of course some of you guys like to run slammed which is detrimental to handling and daily driveability (been there, never again) but looks good.
