sinc ethe sleeve type coilovers are basically a spring in a clamp how do you install the coil setup like same as putting a spring on but you like pre assemble the clamp with the spring then slip the whole thing over the strut?

get maxspeeds, they rock ive got them and koni yellows, but beware, I had my car lowered 2.5" and I bottomed out the strut acouple times and destroyed the valving in the koni's (granted they replace them for free) but they said they could give me a shorter rod length if i wanted to lower that far, they recommend no more that 1.5" without shortening the strut rod. get 400/300 spring rate front/back and koni yellows and adjust firmness the lowest or 1/4 turn over lowest, it rides like stock, not bumpy. its perfect everyone complains about the ride on coilovers but if you set it right its like stock but you can still corner/handle with the best of them.

The reason some people hate Skunk2's and some people absolutely love them, is because they are a true race coilover. The spring rate on the older skunk2's are approximately 550 front / 450 rear (converted from kg). This is pretty stiff, seeing as most people use 400 / 300. But I've done some research, and there are people using ground control's wishing they had stiffer springs. It seems that a lot of hardcore racers want really stiff springs. My ride is pretty harsh, and if anyone has a 6 or 7 " long spring with 2.5" diameter that is less than 450 ft-lbs, I will probably trade you for my 550's...
