#4427, "SPRINT "NO inch" drop"

So, I drove 2 hours to pick up my springs today. Got home and just did one of the rears and to my disappointment, it's the SAME height! The guy I got them from told me he took them off cause they were TOO low. Conveniently, he wasn't driving his own car (cause he prob had bought new springs that actually ARE low....) Anyway, I think I'm out $100......

they should be blue and significantly shorter in size from a stock eclipse spring.

hey tony, you got the springs from my cousin. i would have gotten those springs but i bought some from fusion about a month before he decided to take his off- he hit his front bumper against a speed bump and cracked the piece between the 2 foglights so he thought the drop was too low (knowing him he prob was going about 30). He had my car today because i didnt need it while i was at work- he hit a deer last night with his eclipse and messed up the bumper and lights. If you put all 4 on and theres a problem, tell me!- i dont want a fellow 2GNT'er to get jipped... because i've been jipped before and i know how it feels... Email address is in the sig if you need it...

Hey man- I put the rest of them on and that shit LOOKS GOOD!!
Handles pretty well too but I'm getting some "clunking" from the back.everything was tightened down well so I think they just have to settle in.
Yeah, I talked to your cuz for awhile and I thought it was you cause you have the same name and both from Stanford. I forgot that the deal was set up through DSM Trader. Anyways, tell your cuz I said thanks and he doesn't have to worry about me bringin all my homies to find him. emoji J/K
BTW the back ones were CAKE ! The fronts were a PITA and passenger side was frustrating cause everything was frozen but was still better than paying someone to do it. -Tony

will post some pics when I get some free time. Now I'm gonna go drink some beers....

The clunking in the back is most likely the wheel hitting on the edge of the fender where it sticks in toward the tires. You may have to bend the edge up, I used a baseball bat but some people say to use something else.

that clunking could also be a bushing that gave out..

Did you install the springs yourself? Did you have stock springs before the Sprints? And do you need any special tools to install them

Car is much better now! emoji
getting a pretty loud clunking when I go over bumps. Is this normal when you first change them?
Should I have added some washers or something to take up some space since the springs are so much shorter than the stockers?

Stupid me didn't put the top bushing so the spacer went through the mount. The noise was them moving back and forth. Fixed it today and love the ride.
Yes, I did it myself.
tools needed-
17 & 14 mm opened ended wrenches and sockets
5mm allen wrench
spring compressor
HAMMER!!!
1 jack and a jack stand.
also a piece of a 2x4 to put under the tire so you can get the jack back out.
Took me 8 hrs yesterday to do it but 1/2 the time was wrestling with frozen bolts. took them back out today and swapped the bushings around in 2 hrs. emoji
