metal masters for about $55 are very good for increasing brake performance on the street, and they are good for some autocross too.

I have the porterfield R4S pads on my car and I think they are great, but they are not cheap.

Check out RRE (road race engineering) www.roadraceengineering.com for brake/suspension stuff. Probably one of the best DSM suppliers and shops for brakes and suspensions in the country.

Yes I was fading my stock pads at an autox so I bought some MM pads from RRE! Woohoo no more fade! Take em down a mountain pass to break em in! If your car is more than like 5 years old you should probably upgrade to SS lines as well, just something to think about, while your woking on your brakes might as well get something else done to save time.

Good info Hades. Hey I was thinking since you have done the drum-disk conversion on your car and Kory's, maybe you could help me with mine. I am thinking of getting the parts soon and would need some help, so I'm thinking of doing all my breaks at once. So how about it? Willing to help another fellow 2GNT guy in his persuit of performance happiness. Also what place did you get all your parts for the conversion? Let me know whats up.

haha yeah Randy was the one who tipped me off on the REAR SUSPENSION of that TSI. I picked that sucka dry! Heh I would love to do the install at my house sometime during my winter break. My dad is kinda getting pissed that everyone comes to my house to work on their car but sure we can do it hehe emoji Just make sure you clean your brakes and clean em b4 you have us install them, hehe it's time consuming to do everything in one day. Haha took me and Kory freakin 8 hours to clean, paint, and install his goodies! Can out quite nice I must say.

Hey bro... get MM pads... i jess changed over to rear disks and have mm pads and SS lines all around using motul 5.1 fluid. I highly suggest that route. Brake feel is excellent with 0 fade (yet). I am going to really test em out this weekend on a road course... will let u know!
