Basically, struts help support the weight of the car. Shocks just dampen suspension travel.

shocks are a better choice when running coilovers basically to save you work. struts are a better choice when running springs. if you want to go shocks/coilovers, email me, I have a set for sale.

I'd like to know how you can run shocks on our cars with anything. The mounting hardware isn't there, and shocks aren't designed to handle the weight of a car on them.

Isnt the visual difference just that struts have the spring or coilover go around it and with a shock the spring and shcok do not touch.

the lower perches on the konis are removable, making them easier to run coilovers.
