(opinions on other setups.)

Well i just installed my H&R race springs and illuminas this past weekend. Wanted to give it a few days to feel it out... The car rides completely different. The bix feels like its mounted to the road. Steering response is far better. the drop is great. I have the struts set on 4 in the front and 5 in the back. you can definitely tell and feel when the back gets it but the front grabs very nicely. yesterday i was on the 417 and hitting high speeds the car felt so stable and so smooth, it does need an alignment definitely which will get done once the camber kit goes on this weekend. i've driven our cars with all sorts of set ups,
*pro-kit w/ tokico blues = thumbs up for people who want to keep nice ride and not lose stock feel but want better handling

*pro-kit w/ AGX = Good but the blues still had the better advantage or maybe my friend didnt have the settings turned up.

*pro-kit w/ illuminas = incredible, definitely reccommended for better all around use of the prokit. i liked it alot. Just not aggressive enough.

*intrax w/ gr2s = good but a too much bounce and didnt lower the car enough. we switched over his struts to illuminas last nite.

*intrax w/ illuminas = wow what a big difference over the gr2s car rides good now. unfortunately the drop still sux, didnt expect it to change but none the less...

*H&R stage 3 w/ Illuminas = 2thumbs up. i may get blasted cause its on my car but none the less. these springs are very very aggressive. very solid and strong. gave a perfect drop, just need side skirts cause the 97 talon front bumper hangs a little lower the the sides and the rear of the car curves up. so it makes the car look like a RWD car which is kinda nice. I am really happy w/ the decision i made. i've gotten compliments from a GSX owner and a fellow N/A driver about how nice the car feels and how solidly it handles.

Gotta give thanx to Magnus for selling/trading me these springs, Kory for helping choose the illuminas, and Corbin, thanx for your strut install page. made things go a lot easier. I'll have pix up soon...

Kory again, my front looks lower cause the talon front hangs down lower then the eclipse about a good inch or so, and then to top it off the tail end carves up. so between that and the fact that the springs lower the car 2" in the front and 1.75 in the rear. it makes it look lower... the

reason why i didnt get the tokico n/a's w/ prokit is i didnt find it aggressive enough at all. it almost felt too stock to me. but then again i live in central florida with no pot holes cause of toursims(oh and no emissions HAH), which they repave all the roads just about every 3yrs so. but even some rough spots its really not that bad. but i'll actually go ahead and lower the settings on my car tom'r and see how it is. let you you know how it may feel w/ the eibachs. cause my springs are noted to be 50-100% stiffer then stock and eibach prokit i think is rated at 33% stiffer. but my daily settings are 4 int he front 5 in the back. and i love it. but i am hardcore as far as performance so...

I do like the setup. I had Illuminas with the race springs, but found it too low. It looks good though -

And now I have the H&R sport springs which raised it up just a little which I prefer -

When you use maximum braking, then transition, does the car rebound slowly allowing you to benefit by keeping both front wheels planted firmly in the turn.

Or is it just really stiff in front and the struts do not compress very much which allows you to transition better.

I do not mind the softer compression, just want a shit load more rebound damping to transition better. I will be buying a set of adjustables this week.

whatcha think?
