im looking into to getting new rims from www.wheelmax.com .the rims i want to get are 17x7 and they come with tires that are 205/40/17 , i have no idea what that means so can someone tell me if that will fit our cars

yes those will fit just fine, but i would suggest trying to get 215 width tires instead of the 205 but 205's will do just fine. the numbers stand for width/height(from the edge of the rim)or profile/size of rims

yes, that will fit with no problem....it you went to like 235 35 R17s...you may run into probs
