I think its finally time to trash my sucky Goodyear GTII's. After reading the archives, I'm looking at Bridgestone RE730's in 205/55/16. The Tire Rack has them for $111. Where else can I look? My local guy wants $140!

Well, I have a set of 245/45/ZR17s that I bought for my 3KGT VR-4 rims. I thought I needed them, but my old ones aren't that bad. I don't know if anyone else here is running 17X8.5 or not, but I would sell for cheap.

i got my 225/45/17 RE730 for like 570 shipped. that was from tire rack. what size are you looking at? with something that expensive, i think its worth going through a reliable company like tire rack. local dealers are full of shit. they were asking 180 per tire.. and said "135 each is below our wholesale"... those lying fuckers. BTW- I saw the 135 in their tire rack catalog they had in their store! so i just ordered them online.

You wont find a better or more competitive priced tire outlet overall than tirerack. as far as customer service they CANT be beat by anyone. I'd nearly bet my life on that. The best bet is to find discontinued REAL high performance models that are still overstocked. they basically give these away. I mean I got the RE71 (best damn dry performance tire you could get for under $200 in my book) for $95 but they are out now so I just ordered some discontinued Yok AVS intermediates (215/45/17) for $93 each today($414 total with 2day shipping). I've bought the RE71s twice, Pirelli P7000SS, Dunlop SP8000, YOK A520s from tirerack and a few mistakes I purchased locally like Toyo FZs which I paid more for even with free mounting and got shitty performance. Unless you can pay $200ea for BFG KDs, Brig SO2s or Mich Pilots you are paying %50+ more for tires that perform worse buying current models (If you want tires that cost little and last long but SUCK get the Kumho Supra 712, Yok A520s or Toyo FZs. I know some of you who have them think they are greatest thing on earth but wait until you get some REAL tires. all those and Dunlop W10s ect are what I refer to as Riceboy tires: they look like the real thing and perform good enough to fool the 1rst time performance buyer into thinking they got something but really they are avg at best).

RE71,sp8000s,intermediates dont last but a hot second but they were all flagship tires at one time and you can tell. I'm back on 14"s BTW until they come and I am WAY beyond the scope of what was asked!

i agree thay got some good-azz prices. i got firehawk sz50 and i'm happy with them, but then again they are my first perfomcance tires and i had springs and shocks installed 1 mile later then i got an alignment and i also have negative camber, so i can't really give a real testimonial on them...but they were on special and i got a good deal emoji

Yeah Tire Rack has always had the best prices I could find anywhere... if you find a lower price I would be surprised if a salesman couldn't at least match it for you.

II have Bridgestone Potenza RE730 and LOVE them. They are great. Good feel at the limit and good control in pulling her back to traction. I don't drive like a madman like I used to, but I've only been able to brake traction in a turn a couple times. Very predictable and controlable the times I did. Should I be a Bridgestone Salesman?
