Your not going to find any info here on that. 1st off you will need to take the chassis to a chassis shop and have the car tubbed. Have a rear frame section welded in and a larger tunnel installed. Next have the front section cutout and a tubular frame welded in. The rack and pinion will need to be relocated to the front of the car to accomodate the space required for a bellhousing of a rear wheel drive trans. The factor rack and pinion will not work so you will need to consider a mustang rack or possible one out of a GM early 90's cutlass. All in all your looking at about 40,000.00, for just the chassis fabrication and rear 4 link setup.

You not going to find info on the internet about it. its a case by case type job and its all custom fabrication. Shops wont even give you a price up front. Its one of those deals where "if you have to ask how much, you cant afford it"

Terry

If it's not going into an eclipse, look into formula dodge setups. they're small class specific openwheel racecars that use 420a engines. not sure what trans they use but you might get some ideas from how they're setup.

going into an eclipse, see terry's above post. or look at brent rau's 4g63 back-halved 2g racer.

funnyn thing, I was having a similar convo with my friend but he was asking what it would take to put a honduh H22 into a saturn emoji

easy, buy a gsx. pull front halfshafts and cap the holes. weld the center diff. you now have rear wheel drive on a 2g.

Edit: have fun replacing rear diffs constantly when they grenade on you

if your truly into drifing an eclipse, get ready to be making a lot of custom suspension components to get the maximum adjustability and proper set up to make it truly drift right. (hence why the Silvias are so popular, the've been embraced and parts are everywhere)

as above said, cheepest way to go RWD is the GSX hack.
if you won the lottery . . .
a. why do you still have an eclipse emoji
b. still keeping the eclipse i'd just take it to a shop and say this is what i want then drop some cash on the counter and tell them to call you when they got it right
c. highpower RWD drifting? buy a Viper (hell you just won the lottery be origional and drift in a Ferrari)

serriously though, this is like the first 2.4 swap
a bunch of head scratching trying to figure out the parts followed buy a bunch of fab time.
mainly it just takes some one saying "fuck it" and getting the car and havign it sit in the garage measuring and testing the parts they want to try till they get what they want to fit and work.

making friends with a race car chassis builder might prove valuable too

Do your damndest to replicate it to the letter (but smartly adapted for a 2G).
