#31667, "autocrossers, check out this link!"

One of the links below gives a description of the "street touring" catagory for autocross/soloII. It is between stock class (we're in E stock) where you can do very little to mod the car, and street prepared (we are in D street prepared) where we would get killed.

Alot of the mods we have (wider/different rims, SAFC, UD pulley, headers, ect..) are allowed in street touring (but no turbos!) so it is practically the perfect class for us to run in.

So, the "level" of the classes go like this:

Stock
Street Touring
Street Prepared
Street Modified
After street modified there are high level classes for purpose made race cars.

There is a link at the bottom of the page for the stock and street prepared class rules as well, but if you're lazy, here they are.

Street Touring

Hope that helps out.

I can't wait to run my Stage 4 in SM this summer. I finished 4th with just the stage 2, so I'm hoping for 1st or 2nd this year...

You will have to check with your regional SCCA club to see when and where they will hold autocross events.

Haha well I was in novice 2 which is just Novice Open Street Prepared. That's the free for all class. I think my turbo throws me out of street touring class, because it's gotta be a certain size engine NA or certain turbo cars. BWahaha looks like I gotta roll with big boys in ESP. There are two Talon TSI AWD and a Starion in that class, looks like an uphill battle for me.

Just wondering but what class do you run 992GNT?
