#30961, "wheel offset question?"

I am pretty sure our wheel offset is +35. But my question is, I am doing an 18x8 rear rim, and am thinking of doing a +30 offset so the wheel is pushed out a little furthur since I am a widebody.

Anyway, my main question is since I cannot remember for the life of me, is it, the lower the number the more its pushed out. So like in my case, a +30 would stick out furthur than a +35.

Make sense?

My Offset is +40 which was recommended by enkie and your backwards. larger number pushes the wheel out farther. I have a +35 for a spare and it sits closer to the hub.
