I drive a 1997 Eclipse NT and I want to get rid of the nasty wheel gap. Rims are really expensive so I want to lower my car. I was wodering if I should so with springs or coil overs or if lowering is such a good idea to begin with. I dont want to scratch the hell out of the front end or screw up the ride or components but I do want to get rid of the wheel gap, improve handling, etc.. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone has.

Klipz is right. The Eibach pro kit will lower your car just a little bit but give you good performance. You won't be scrapping that much and it looks a little better than stock. I had them on my 1g and they worked great with some KYBs. Right now I have the Eibach sportlines with some tokicos on my talon and the handling sucks, i scrape everything and my wife refuses to ride my car. But it looks f*cking TIGHT!

I used the pro kit on my car and it still rides great. I still want an inch lower though.
