#30266, "all over the freaking road!"

I could use some help here, I'm trying to figure out why I'm having SEVERE bump steer, just need some suggestions for what to look for, lower ball joints and outer tie rods are good, uppers are ready for replacement but still tight, just the boots are going bad, alignment is good, I've got enkei EVO VIII 6 spoke rims and EVO VIII factory advan A046 tires 235/40/17" same offset as stock eclipse wheels. not lowered. should I look at a worn loose rack? bad bushings? struts? every time I hit a bump it wants to jump to the side, and heaven forbid I'm not perfectly centered in a rut cause it'll yank the car around. any help is appreciated

yes and yes, I did a simple setup and measure alignmentafter replacing the tie rods which helped a bit. I've always found that to be more reliable than "profssional" digital racks, it honestly feels like a worn steering gearbox, but I don't have any noticable play in the rack or the steering wheel, fluid's new, old fluid had no metal in it, it did sit for about three years so I'm thinking maybe a bad bushing, but i just don't know

Try changing your shocks out. I'm driving a crx right now with pretty weak struts and anytime I hit a hole hard the car wants to go crazy.

Do you see oil all over the shock housing? If you press hard on the fender to make the car bounce, does it bounce once or twice and stop or does it bounce 5 or 6 times? Also, if it is only pulling to one side whenever you hit a bump, check the shocks on that side first and see how they compare to the shocks on the other side.

It's crazy how long those stockers hold up. I have 145k on mine and they are just now starting to get weak. I'll be replacing mine with coilovers though.

Worst case scenario you can buy those. That's cheaper than AutoZone has replacement shocks listed as. Even if it isn't the problem, I'm sure it would help.

I had a rear strut go out at 90k. Every time I hit a bump the ass was all over the place im thinking struts.

Poke a small hole in the rack boots on each side, see if any fluid comes out...
